Cam Latches with compression have a T-shaped handle. They are designed to offer secure access to panels and doors, courtesy of the rotating cam (pawl).

Quarter-Turn Finger Grip Latches are made from a Black Powder Coated Die-Cast Zinc. They offer a 6mm compression. When the key is turned 90 degrees the cam turns to the locking position. Quarter Turn Panel Fasteners engage receptacles and are fastened by turning the stud about 90 degrees - a process known as a 'quarter-turn rotation'. To install and remove; Use a flat-head screwdriver or a coin and give the fastener a quarter-turn. This releases the bottom panel while retaining the fastener in the removable panel. Alternatively, drive the plunger into the grommet with a hammer that locks two panels together.
The sprung cam lifts and returns when the door is closed. As the panel door is pushed to, the cam rises and then springs down behind the panel wall.
Quarter Turn Spring Latches, otherwise known as a Latch Spring, are ideal for use on electrical cabinets and enclosures. The internal spring provides tactile resistances, and the cam does not rotate beyond quarter turn due to a stop lip.

A range of Replacement and Alternative Steel Cams are available for our range of Locks. The Replacement Cams are suitable for all standard quarter turns and cam locks. They provide an alternative grip range is used with pre-assembled locks. Cams in this range are additional and all locks throughout the range are provided with the cam stated for each range. There are 2 types of Alternative Steel Cams available. Type 1 is to fit parts 492878 through to 492882 and are zinc-plated to prevent corrosion. The cranks cams are used to increase or decrease the effective length of the cam lock. Part 492895 has both a vertical and horizontal hole to allow fitting at all four quarter hour positions. Type 2 offers the same properties as type 1 but is to fit parts 492883 through to 492890

Snap Latch Rivets comprise of a Plunger made from Nylon 6 and a Grommet made from Polycarbonate (PC). Together they form a Snap Latch assembly for the joining and securing of panels.
To install; simply push the grommet into the removable panel and then the desired plunger into the grommet. When the panel and plunger are pushed into the fixed panel, it locks them together. Pull on the plunger to easily remove the non-fixed panel.
