Plastic Sleeve Bearings

 (1 product group)

What is the purpose of a plastic sleeve bearing?

Sleeve bearings are designed to reduce friction and wear between two moving parts, improving the overall efficiency and longevity of a machine or equipment. Plastic sleeve bearings are lightweight, durable, and resistant to corrosion, making them ideal for use in various industries, such as automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing.

Flanged sleeve bearings made from plastic serve the purpose of providing mechanical stability with the lowest coefficients of friction without additional lubrication.

Plain sleeve bearings can be found in various applications, such as in vehicles, pumps, compressors, and other machinery where a smooth bearing surface is required. Our plain sleeve bearings are resistant to dirt and weather, as well as exhibiting good resistance against chemical corrosion.

Our plastic straight sleeve bearings are designed to offer a maintenance-free, lightweight solution and are excellent for low-speed and low-load applications that come with limited space requirements. Additionally, they provide high radial and static load capacity to ensure maximum functionality.

Flanged Sleeve Bearings

Flanged Sleeve Bearings, commonly known as sleeve bearings, plastic flanged bushings or flanged plain bearings, offer high performance and mechanical stability in a host of applications. They help reduce vibration and noise using a sliding motion, that absorbs friction between moving parts.

Our range features high performance plastic flanged sleeve bearings made from black or natural Polyamide 6.6, with Carbon Fibre and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) compound. These PTFE sleeve bearings have very low friction and good heat discharge. Friction coefficient 0.11 (statistical).

Also featured are a selection of nylon bearings flanged that are available in yellow, black or natural.

  • Suitable for DIN h6-H7 fitting
  • Bearing clearance is approximately 1% of the shaft diameter after assembly.
