There are multiple fibre components involved in the construction of an optical fibre to ensure successful fibre optic cable management. A strong optical fiber management system will provide not only strong bend radius protection and cable routing paths but cable accessibility and protection to the actual fiber network.
Our range features various fiber optic components such as:
Material choice is large in our range, with components made from plastic, rubber and nylon, designed in different mounting options to ensure the correct fibre optic cable support in your projects and applications.
For all your questions regarding the advantages of fibre optic cable management, we've put together these Fibre Optic FAQs over on our Knowledge Centre.
Optical Fibre Relief Boots protect wires and fibre cables from rough panel hole edges during installation and use. Very easy to install - no tools are needed.
These boots provide added protection to 900 micron fibre, while routing cables and wires through a hole. They also limit the angle of the fibre cable, which can help reduce signal loss. This is a huge time and cost-saving.
Ferrule Dust Caps provide environmental protection for 2.5mm ferrules. The flexible Black Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) material is RoHS compliant. This material is durable and provides a snug fit.
Fibre Accessories are used to either; stack multiple fibre reels or space fibre reels off the PC Board. They provide a safe and organised way to store and manage fibre optic cable reels, thus significantly improving the efficiency and speed of the installation and maintenance process.
Used in applications for manufacturing and medical. The stack is held with the supplied spring clip and mounted to the PCB using an SRHR-3555 rivet.
Manages the routing of fibre, eliminating issues like; crushing, kinking and micro-bending. Ideal for blown fibre applications over short distance and curb side FTTH/FTTB applications. Made from Polypropylene (PP) or Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT). Black and White colour options. UL94 V0 rated.
Optical fibre components enable small multiple fibre cables with aramid to be mechanically and securely terminated. The manifold is stackable and provides breakout for up to 4 wires. A development kit is also available that contains all adapters (OFM-4-05-19BLK). Made from UL94 V2 rated Black Nylon.
Optical Fibre Bend Limiting Tubing provides the best protection for fibres, preventing difficulties like crushing, kinking, and micro bending while delivering a complete, self-managing solution for fibre routing.
The tubing design allows for precise bending control of optical fibres while minimizing signal loss, particularly in applications where cables or threads may be repeatedly bent or flexed, making it durable and flexible.
It gives a range of input adapters to cover OFBLT, fibre bundles, cable and patch cords. Used in applications such as manufacturing, and medical equipment.
Optical Fibre Limiting Tubing Tools offer the best protection for fibres, avoiding difficulties such as crushing, bending and micro-bending while providing a complete and self-manageable solution for fibre routing.
Suitable for short-distance blown fibre installations and FTTH/FTTB curbside applications. The tubing can be wrapped around the cable or inserted inside the cable sleeve to provide additional protection. Used in applications in industries such as manufacturing and medical.
Optical Fibre Coiling Clip is made of two extruded clips that snap into each other to form a smooth and curved surface to accommodate fibre optic bundles and limit the bend radius of the fibre. Each part is sold separately.
The clip's unique design allows easy attachment to the fibre bracket, making it easy to install and remove as necessary. The coiling clip provides a tight grip on the cable while avoiding sagging. Used for applications in industrial and automotive.
These Fibre Brackets help minimize interference and prevent damage or stress on the fibre entering the clip. They securely hold the fiber optic cable in place, preventing fibre from coming loose or shifting during use.
Mounts and unmounts easily and quickly in a standard 19"" rack with a quarter turn. Used for panels and components, including electronics, machinery, and enclosures.
These Fibre Cut-out Adapters are intended to accept a variety of fibre connectors, providing for easy integration and compatibility within the network infrastructure. It specifically converts an SC connector port hole cut-out to an ST connector port hole cut-out.
They ensure steady and accurate alignment between the connectors, producing optimal signal transmission and minimal signal loss.
Commonly mounted in fibre optic patch panels, wall plates, or enclosures, providing a centralized - and organized location for connecting fibre cables. Suitable for a wide range of applications, including telecommunications, data centres, and enterprise networks.
These Fibre Guides, also known as optical or fibre optic guides, can accommodate many low-profile fibre reels for spooling surplus fibre onto a PCB board. It is an entirely modular, adaptable system that provides fibre optic cable management, support, and protection. The guide may be angled in all planes thanks to a unique spine.
Fibre may enter and depart at any point without snagging or kinking, minimising excessive bending or tension that might result in signal loss or cable damage. Angled and straight lugs along the guide keep the fibre from jumping out.
Stacking pillars and standoffs are also available, which may be utilised to stack numerous reels for compact spooling of many fibre lines. Simple to install in three different methods, using their adhesive pad, snap fitting it, or screwing it, all of which aid in keeping components in place. Widely used in telecommunications, data centres, networking infrastructure and other industries.
Made from Natural Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) this Fibre Manifolds Tubing available as a 120 meter coil. Designed to protect fibre in the optical fibre flat manifold. UL94 V0 rated.
Made from Black Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE), Fibre Optic Connector Boots provide strain relief for Micron Fibres and additional protection to the fibre, while routing through a hole. The 900 Micron Transition Boot limits the bend of the fibre, preventing signal loss.
Fibre Management range supports low-profile Fibre Reels for spooling excess fibre on PCB board. Some can be broken apart to form controlled bend around 90 or 180 degree turn. Some reels can be stacked and mounted over PC Board. Made from Natural and Black Nylon. UL94 V0 and UL94 V2 rated options.
Series Code :SREFA04
Optical ribbon and fibre Splice Protectors offer high protection for fibre. Two types are available that both consist of inner and outer tubing's. Type 1 includes a Stainless Steel rod and Type 2 uses a Ceramic Rod. Clear in appearance.
Fibre Splice Trays are stackable to any number, and inter-tray fibre routing is possible through slots along one of the long sides of the tray. Colour coded hinges indicate side of tray to open from. Lid, trays, and hinges are sold separately or in a kit. Flame resistance; UL94 V0 and UL94 HB.
Series Code :SROFST
Ideal for eliminating macro and micro bends that occur during mishandling of optical fibres. The trays are stackable to any number and inter-tray fibre routing is possible. Can use with splice holders, splice protectors and bend limiting tubing. Lids, trays and hinges also sold separately.
