Flat Washers - Plastic

In stock In production

Flat Washers made from a variety of plastics. Also known as plain washers, these flat plastic washers are among the most commonly used. The plastic washer helps evenly distribute the load of a fastener, such as a nut, whilst helping to reduce heat and friction during the process of tightening.

Our wide range features a vast array of sizes, including large diameter plastic washers that are suitable for a number of metric threads. We also offer a choice of materials, including Nylon washers and other plastic washers made from Polycarbonate (PC), Polypropylene (PP) and Polyoxymethylene (POM). As well as high-quality, hard plastic washers like Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK). All with a durable, smooth finish.

  • Insulates against moisture and electricity
  • Resistant to corrosion, abrasion and most chemicals
  • Provides full insulation, cushioning and spacing
  • Colours: Natural, Black and Brown.

Flat Washers - Rubber

In stock In production

Rubber Washers for sale at Essentra Components. Designed for use with screws, bolts and nuts - flat washers rubber are an essential component in any fastener assembly. Also known as plain washers, they are the most commonly used washer type. Flat washers do not have a locking function, but instead are applied as protection for mating surfaces, from damage. Our rubber washers, which are often used by manufactures for spacing, buffing, sealing and for locking purposes, provide ideal support to threaded fasteners, particularly in the construction industry. These durable flat rubber washers have excellent anti-vibration and shock absorbing properties, whilst also helping to seal fluids and other liquid connections - and offer superior insulation, particularly within electronic assemblies.

The range includes a Thermoplastic Rubber Washer (TPR) that has improved chemical resistance, sealing characteristics and vibration resistance. These are a great solution for oil, gas and automotive industries. These flat rubbers are manufactured to DIN 125 standard. They also benefit from flame resistance to UL94 HB standard.

We also offer a flat washer made from Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), which has high stiffness and fantastic electrical properties - making it ideal for use in a range of electrical assembly applications. This PVC washer provides abrasion and moisture resistance.

  • Smooth, black finish
  • Rubber washer sizes include, but are not limited to; M8 rubber washers.

Retaining Washers

In stock In production

A Plastic Retaining Washer is primarily used to hold screws and bolts in place during assembly and have a design that grips the outside of screw or bolt shank. Also known as an Anti Loss Washer, they provide insulation, cushioning and spacing. They help insulate fastening assemblies from moisture and electricity.

This washer range includes options with internal and external teeth with a tapered design. The washer easily slides on to the screw (or bolt) and is retained by the screw once assembled. The washer cold forms and fully enters the pitch of the screw to provide sealing.

These washers allow for preliminary mounting of the screw (or bolt) before securing with a nut. They are ideal when pre-assembly of the screw and washer is required. They also help reduce assembly time and cost.

The range includes material options that provide corrosion, abrasion and chemical resistance.

  • Materials: Polycarbonate (PC), Polyamide 6.6 (PA) and High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
  • Colour: Natural

Spring Washers

In stock In production

Spring Washers are a type of washer that has a conical shape. This means that without the presence of a load, the washer is unable to sit flush to a surface.

Spring Washers are named as such, because they provide spring force. These handy washers also absorb shock by using axial loads to counter vibrations in an assembly. Our range can be used singly in parallel, in series and in series parallel for a wide range of deflection and load capacity applications.

They also provide electrical and thermal insulation and benefit from resistance to corrosion.

  • Material: Stainless Steel, Steel, Acetal
  • Colour: Natural, White
