A PCB spacer, also known as a standoff, is a component that is used to create space between a printed circuit board (PCB) and another surface. PCB spacers are typically hollow tubes, and they are used to maintain a consistent distance between different components on the board. This helps to prevent electrical interference and also allows for easier assembly and maintenance of the PCB. Additionally, PCB spacers can be used to secure the board in place and prevent it from moving or vibrating.
We stock a huge choice of PCB spacers and standoffs. Below are just a few of the popular types featured in our range:
Threaded Standoffs: These PCB standoffs have screws on both ends, and are used to secure the PCB to another surface or enclosure. Available in both male and female thread options.
Self Retaining Spacers: These spacers have a snap-fit design that allows them to securely hold the PCB without needing screws or other fasteners.
Hex Spacers: These spacers have a hexagonal shape, and are often used in conjunction with a hex nut to provide a secure and stable connection between the PCB and another surface or component.
Hex Standoffs: Similar to hex spacers, these standoffs also have a hexagonal shape, but feature screw threads on one or both ends for increased stability and security.
Threaded Spacers: These spacers have screw threads on both ends, and are often used to create space between two PCBs or between a PCB and another component.
Non-Threaded Spacers: These spacers do not have screw threads, and are often used in applications where the PCB needs to be held at a fixed distance from another surface or component.
Push Spacer: The push-in design allows for easy and quick installation, and the spacer provides stability and prevents the PCB from moving or vibrating.
Our spacers and standoffs are manufactured in various materials. Choose from plastic standoffs and spacers, nylon and lightweight metal to name just a few.
This PCB Support range holds the board by it's edge, minimising the spaced required,. They are available with or without a locking nose to provide extra holding strength.
These ceramic insulation beads are used to cover wires that handle high voltage or high current applications. They can also be used as a non threaded spacer for high powered devices.
These collar spacers are a two piece application; the pin (CSP) and the retainer (CSR). They are designed to capture the PC board. The combination of the mating parts forms a completely enclosed nylon spacer. The use of a binding head type screw is recommended. Each retainer is used with a specific pin.
This range of PCB supports has a cupped bottom fixture that adds extra stability and covers the fixture. They are available in two locking style tops, bayonet or teardrop.
Our dual locking circuit board support posts lock at both ends and offer a quick and easy way to secure two PCBs or a single PCB to framework or a chassis. They are available with alternative locking options at either end of the spacer and come in different body types, as well as numerous sizes to suit your project requirements. They are suitable for a range of needs and applications. The range is available in either Nylon 6/6 (RMS-01) or flame retardant Nylon 6/6 (RMS-19) with two UL certification options (UL94 V0 and UL94 V2).
These push spacers are designed to support heavily loaded circuit boards. No through hole is required in the board which allows for easy access to the underside of the board. They come in three types: flanged base, cupped base or spring body.
These Standoffs are designed to be installed by hand and do not require assembly equipment. The hexagonal standoffs are suitable for a wide range of applications and are ideal for use when high mechanical strength is required and provide sturdy, insulated spacing for high power electronic applications. They are made of nylon with brass inserts and are rated UL94 V-2.
These are female standoffs that have a through hole. A self-tapping screw is used to thread the plastic which gives it a strong hold. Available for several different screw sizes in many spacer lengths.
Series Code :SR2791
These PCB SUpport pillars are designed to be fixed into a key hole slot. This allows for easy removal if neccessary. They are available in either bayonet nose or two piece snap-in.
Bundle easily slides in and out. Quickly and easily mounted with an adhesive base. They come in seven different sizes for various bundle diameters. UL94 V-0 rated PVC with an acrylic adhesive.
Edge Locking Supports provide a secure hold on the side of the PCB and the snap in fitting and locating nose are ideal for quick assembly. The PCB is easily removed for service.
These PCB Spacers are designed to be installed by hand and do not require assembly equipment. They are simple to install thanks to their screw in design. These Hexagonal Brass Standoffs are suitable for a wide range of applications and are available in both non-undercut and undercut versions. Non-undercut spacers offer greater stability but require a washer for installation. Undercut spacers are much quicker to install and don't require the use of a washer
Edge Locking Supports provide a secure hold on the side of the PCB allowing for easy removal. Screw mount supports are very secure and reliable. These mount with a self-tapping screw.
Series Code :SR2758
These spacers have fir tree fixings on both ends for a secure lock. The blind hole mount is flexible and will lock into round, threaded, punched or drilled blind holes.
The standard snap lock support is ideal for quick assembly in PCB stacking applications and the quarter turn fastening aids the ease of application
These supports are mounted from the bottom of the chassis leaving little protrusion on the outside. They mount into a .375 x .313 square hole in the chassis to prevent rotation. It locks the PC Board in place with an edge holding arm that is releasable.
These innovative spacers are mounted to the panel with a rivet that is designed into the part. As you push the head of the spacer down, the legs expand locking it into place. They are available in 13 metric spacer lengths in a UL94 V-2 rated nylon.
These spacers snap together on top of each other to stack any number of boards. Item MB-1-156 Can top off the stack
The standard snap lock support is ideal for quick assembly in PCB stacking applications. The integrated spring allows for flexing of the top panel and is suitable for touch control panels.
These unique supports act as a spring. The part flexes and can provide continuous support to the PCB.
These push-in spacers are designed to support heavily loaded circuit boards. No through hole is required in the board which allows for easy access to the underside of the board. They have a flanged base to keep them steady.
These spacers have a flexible fir tree fixing that will lock into round, threaded, punched or drilled blind holes. They are available in locking and non-locking options.
These reverse mount supports are installed from the underside of the chassis. They have a thin buttonhead for minimal protrusion under the chassis. The top of the support, where the PCB rests comes in four options: Snap-fit, Bayonet, Arrowhead and Flat rest.
Series Code :SR2749
Designed to mount easily on chassis with plastic SR snap rivet. Allows mounting to a range of panel thicknesses. Button head on rivet for minimal protrusion on chassis underside.
These Standoffs are designed to be installed by hand and do not require assembly equipment. The round standoffs are suitable for a wide range of applications and are ideal for use when high mechanical strength is required and provide sturdy, insulated spacing for high power electronic applications. They are made of nylon with brass inserts and are rated UL94 V-2.
Series Code :SR2797
