Captive Screws - Pan Head

This range of Captive Screws have a pan head with two options: one with a Torx drive and one with a Philips drive. On the one hand, Screws with Torx drive provide a positive, quick engagement that transmits torque with less downward pressure. In contrast, screws Philips drive can withstand high torque, making them a good choice for applications requiring a tight fit and making the screw easy to remove, even if it has been driven in tightly. They both offer an excellent fastening appearance, ideal for finished product presentation.

These screws are an ideal fitting solution for panels with non-threaded holes. The M8 sizes have a reduced Torx, while the M3, M4, M5, and M6 sizes have a Philips drive. They are used to comply with the Machinery Detective 2006/42/EC - generally to ISO 14583. Captive Screws are commonly used with Threaded Captive Washers (sold separately).

These screws are made from austenitic Stainless Steel that provides good resistance to corrosion and machinability. The material is a popular choice for construction and automotive applications.

Please Note: These screws have a smaller shank diameter and should not be tightened to the recommended torque for an equivalent screw of the displayed thread size.

  • An ideal fitting solution for panels with non-threaded holes.

Machine Screws - Pan

Slotted, Torx and Crossed (Phillips) style Pan Head Machine Screws that come in standard metric and imperial sizes.

A Pan Head Screw is a great replacement to metal screws. They are lightweight, and offer resistance to vibration, chemical and electrical resistance, and corrosion.

A wide choice of materials are available in our Screw Pan Hd range, including Nylon 6/6, Polycarbonate (PC), Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK), Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS), plus metal options in Mild Steel and Stainless Steel.

  • DIN 85 and DIN 7985
  • Colours: Beige, Brown, Clear and Natural.

Pan Head Seal Screws

This range of sealing screws has a pan head with three options: Torx drive, Philips drive and Slotted drive. Torx drive screws provide a positive, fast engagement that transmits torque with less downward pressure. Phillips drive screws can withstand high torque, making them a good choice for applications that require a tight fit and make it easy to remove the screw, even if it has been driven in tightly. Finally, slotted drive screws have a lower torque capacity than other drive types, such as Phillips or Torx. These screws incorporate an O-ring which is compressed and squeezed between the head and the mating component to complete a more secure seal. They are manufactured from stainless steel, which provides good corrosion resistance and is slightly magnetic.

This seal screws with a pan head are a type of fastener designed with an o-ring to provide secure bi-directional protection against contaminates such as gases and fluids in various applications, minimising the risk of damage to sensitive equipment. They prevent the entry of water, dust, or other contaminants, ensuring a secure, reliable connection.

Seal screws are used in threaded and non-threaded holes in applications such as cabinets or used in the automotive and electric industries.

  • It provides a secure and watertight connection to various applications, minimising the risk of loosening due to vibration or movement.
  • Used in threaded and non-threaded holes in applications such as cabinets or used in the automotive and electric industries.
  • Incorporate an O-ring which is compressed and squeezed between the head and the the mating surface to complete a more secure seal.

Self -Drilling & Self-Piercing Screws - Pan Head

Self-drilling and self-piercing screws are a type of fastener that combines drilling and fastening operations in a single action, removing the requirement for pre-drilling. They have a pointed head that allows the screw to self-tap into a panel. This reduces the amount of time and physical work necessary for fixing.

Easily driven into the surface with a power drill or screwdriver and provides a strong and secure hold. Ideal for use in applications where a high degree of strength and stability is required, such as in metalworking or construction.

  • Material: Stainless Steel, Steel, Mild Steel
  • Colour: , Galvanized, Natural
  • DIN rated options

Self Tapping Screws - Pan Head

These Self Tapping Screws with Pan Heads are a type of screw that may be used to join materials without the use of pre-drilled holes. They feature a pointed tip and sharp threads that allow them to tap their threads into wood, plastic, or metal.

The pan head design features a level bearing surface and a slightly rounded top for a clean, complete look. It has high strength, durability, and corrosion resistance.

Simple to install with a Phillips head screwdriver. Commonly used in construction, manufacturing, automotive, and electronics industries.

Shoulder Screws - Pan Head

These Pan Head Shoulder Screws, also known as pan head shoulder bolts, are a type of fastener that consists of a cylindrical shaft with a pan head at one end and a shoulder at the other. The shoulder is machined to a precise tolerance and serves as a bearing surface for the screw head.

Shoulder Screws are useful when a mounting pin, dowel, joint, shaft, or sliding motion is required. It is sturdy and corrosion-resistant, but not in really hard conditions.

This range of Shoulder Screws features a pan head that is slightly domed and a flat bearing. It is suited for low-profile applications and has an aesthetically attractive appearance. Easy to install or remove using slotted screwdrivers. These screws suit electronics, medical devices, machinery and automotive applications.
