Made from Nylon 6.6, they can be used in applications where there is no access to the underside (blind side) of the panel or joint. The rivet is a type of panel fastener that allows for quick fastening and securing of two panels.
They are easy to install, simply by inserting the 'U' shaped body into a hole, and then tapping the 'T' shaped head with a hammer until flush in the assembly.
Push In Rivet has a bevelled head design. The bevel design helps facilitates efficient assembly and removal.
The rivet is installed by quickly and easily inserting it into the work piece. Press down on the pin, which engages the "H-shaped" grommet. Once the pin is inserted into the grommet, the grommet legs expand and lock the rivet assembly firmly into position. Once the rivet assembly is installed, the head of the pin protrudes from the panel surface, but gives a nice clean and finished look nonetheless.

Two-Piece Rivets is part of a two piece fastening solution that is used with an Edge Connector assembly (available to buy separately).
The range comprises of a Body (piece "A") and a Pin (piece "B"), which are sold separately. The Body is inserted through the connector and through the application chassis. The Pin is then pushed or tapped into the Body to secure the connector to the chassis.
The Pin can later be removed to allow for connector replacement or maintenance.

To install and remove; Use a flat-head screwdriver or a coin and give the fastener a quarter-turn. This releases the bottom panel while retaining the fastener in the removable panel. Alternatively, drive the plunger into the grommet with a hammer that locks two panels together.
